A: The answer is most likely no unless the vacuum is very very small. Most vacuums are over 1000 Watts and would most likely require an inverter rated at 1800 Watts or larger to power them properly including startup surge.

Answer This Question
A: The APS1000-12 is not limited to 500 watts per outlet. The unit has standard 15 amp outlets and are capable of pulling 1000 watts out of either outlet or any combination up to a total of 1000 watts. The two outlets can not be connected to the same load, this will damage the inverter.

Q:If I hook this up to my battery (12 volt) in my Chevy Van, how long can I expect this to run electronics equipment that totals up to 4.3 amps? Will I need to keep the van running if I need to be assured that it powers the equipment for at least 1 hour? Will that make a difference?

Answer This Question
A: The APS600-12 will provide up to 600 watts of continuous AC power for as long as it has sufficient battery power to supply it. The batteries will determine the run time. An average car battery rated at 100 amp hours would be completely drained in less than 2 hours running at 516 watts or 4.3 amps if it is not being recharged in some way.
