A:  Yes . One or two drops of pneumatic gun oil . It should come with the nailer . 

A:  Yes, but just a drop or two............... it should have been stated in the owners manual.

A:  These nailers are designed to be used without oil.

A:  It is oil free. 

A:  The manual says no.  I haven’t oiled it and have not had any issues with it.

A:  No, the manual states, these nail guns are designed to be operated without adding oil. Doing so will cause issue with the firing mechanism over time. This is different than a lot of other guns so that is why there is confusion out there.

A:  Any brand of nails will work as long as they are the correct Guage.

A:  The manual specifies a type and size. Try the different ones and see if they work but don't over do it. Try a small quantity.

A:  As long as the nails meet the compatibility specifications, it is not necessary to use PORTER-CABLE specific nails.

A:  I have used other brands but I cannot use galvanized brads of another brand.

A:  I've used different brand nails with no problem
