A: Yes, mine also, a year old, but one large split and pop.
A: I have also had bad experience with the hose. It is just a cheaply made hose.
A: I blew through three of these in under a year. Similar failure. Gave up on this poorly designed product.
A: I have had the exact same issue with three of four sections in less than 30 days of purchase . I store the hose in a shed. The reason for the failure is poor quality Home Depot customer told me that the hose fails frequently
A: We have had similar issues with this product as well as other copy products. Seems to be a consistent, continuous problem all known for being short lived.
A: Mine also split after purchasing 2. Do not waste your money.
A: I have exchange at least a dozen of these hoses for the same problem. They aren't what there suppose to do
A: I have not had much luck with this product. The first one lasted less than a week. I took it back. Home Depot replaced it. The second one lasted 5 weeks, I took it back. I was told to not turn my water on full blast. The third one lasted 2 weeks. I ran it at about half the first few times then I forgot and turned it on full blast and that was the end of it. I did not even bother to take it back. Since then I see they are no longer available at Home Depot.
A: This garden hose is a backyard asset if you never leave it under pressure. So if you are leaving it open on one end yes it is perfect. If it is going to be under constant pressure it will wear out quickly. I use one in the backyard to water plants. I am very careful to turn off the spigot and let it drain with the sprayer wide open. I never just close the hand held sprayer and leave it under pressure.
A: Our hoses are tested for service at 80psi in normal use conditions. We do not recommend attempting to operate the hose in excess of 100psi for extended periods of time, or risk premature failure. The flow rate of the pump in this application is not as critical as the head pressure generated by the pump, especially if you will be cycling flow on and off from the hose end. From the tables I have reviewed, our hose may be able to service a pump with up to 200ft of head. However, this is anecdotal and has not been tested.
A: It might, But not sure, sorry
A: If you are going to be using foe a continuous pressure, we do NOT recommend this product! We only use it for 15 minutes Lee day in the summer and it is bulging in 2 places. Continual pressure will cause this to fail!
A: Not sure on volume (although skeptical) - but these hoses are not designed to be out in the daylight for long periods.
A: I would check the pressure at the point of connection. Without any apparent leaks, and good pressure, if the measurement of the hose fully expanded is only 25ft, it could be a mis-mark by the manufacturer or quality issue. I've found 10ft discrepancies in expandable hoses over the years, but not 50%. Notify Home Depot, I know they wouldn't want to continue selling a product that is misrepresented, because the store is noted for quality home owner products.
A: yes also the textile worn out and broke fast
A: Perhaps the 25 foot hose was incorrectly packaged in the 50 foot box at the factory? . I'd take it back to the store. I'm sure they'll exchange it for the correct size. I have two of these and am entirely satisfied
A: You are right I’m sure, I don’t think it ever gets to full length. I don’t think it ever gets to full length, and is restricted flow volume also. I tried different brands of same type of hose and they have same issues.
A: Standard hose is better
A: No. There are hoses sold that are rated for hot water use that you should try instead.
A: It should be fine. Ours sets out in the hot sun all day and works fine.
A: Hi Norman, I have had a few of these expanding hoses. On more then one occasion the hose can get away from you. Perhaps if you connect some type of nozzle with weight on it to weigh it down this may prevent the water from spraying every which way but I’m not sure. Personally I have only use the expanding garden hose for only Gardening.
A: Yes, you can use hot water in this hose.
A: I never use it with hot water before, but I don't see why not.
A: Yes but I wouldn't leave it outside for a length of time, I believe the package states that extreme weather will affect the hose material if left outside. Which makes sense, most things shouldn't be left in extreme weather. :^)
A: No, in fact my hose burst (it doesn't snow here) and soaked a contractor who was working in the area. I am not happy with this purchase and would like to have a credit. Don't buy it even for a temperate climate.
A: I suppose so. Since it can be so easily stored inside, there's no problem with freezing.
A: yes, however you must drain it asap, so any water left in it could freeze and damage the hose.
A: Hi Sue, if you do use the expanding hose in the snow make sure to let all water out and disconnect it after each use and store it indoors
A: Most hoses can, but you have to be very careful to drain the water completely once you use the hose. I would also take in inside after use because the hose will become frozen and brittle if you leave it out. On our farm, we routinely used regular hoses in the snow with no problem, but you have to "baby" them to keep them intact and functional. If you are talking about subzero temperatures, then you might need a heavier hose instead.
A: No
A: Not sure exactly what the questions meant, but I guess you were asking if snow can be wiped out once hose down using this? I have not used it for snow but i guess any hose will do once you hose it down with warm water, but if it is me i rather not hose a snow down worrying to create a puddle of water and cause an icy slipery road.
A: Yes but you must take the nozzle off and drain it when not in USE as like any other hose it can freeze take it from experience had ice in my previouse hose had to replace it with this one
A: no, the hose is fabric and will freeze up in the snow
A: Hi Carlos, I believe they will replace it for life. I have had them for 5 years and had to replace 1 and it was free. Just save your original sales slip. Jay
A: Sorry I do not recall on this one but let me tell you the older style ones were really badly made and will fail. I had one fail in a day. I would suggest do not buy that one. The newer more costly ones with a 5 year guarantee are just fine. They are very much stronger. They have already replaced one for me a couple of months ago. ZERO G. Is the better brand.
A: I believe its a 3 yr warranty, but you need to pace hose out of the sun location due to the hose is make out of fabric.
A: 30 days
A: 90 days by HD and after that it is trash. NO WARRANTY by the manufacturer.
