Answer This Question

A:  Any "tint" in glass is caused by the iron content in the sand from which the glass is made. We remove as much iron content as possible to make our glass as clear as possible. All of our glass blocks are clear glass.

A:  while the glass itself may give a greenish tint, it is also not clear. the effect is to let sunlight through but you will not have a clear view, either looking in nor out. like looking through a block of ice. hope this clarifies your question. in my opinion this is a quality product .

A:  make sure window space is properly framed out -- plumbed and fastened per code. i used my glass block window to replace an existing iron framed basement window so i placed it in an existing frame and leveled it out with spacers underneath and then back filled with high strength mortar cement and feathered it out inside and outside.if jambs are required inside make sure all spaces are caulked before applying inside and outside jambs.

A:  Apply mortar to the sill (bottom), insert the window, assure that it is plumb and level. Apply mortar to both jambs (sides) with trough or grout bag. insert expansion material at head (top) and caulk that joint. Installation instructions are included with the window.
