Answer This Question

A:  The Thickset 90 glass blocks are used for 90 minute fire rated windows. They are also used in Hurricane resistant and Blast Resistant windows. Thickset 90 glass blocks have 3/4" thick glass on both sides of the blocks. The Premiere Glass Blocks are /1/4" thick on each side. The Thickset 90 glass block along with the KWiK'N EZ Rigid Track Spacer System has passedDade county tests. 4 ft. x 4 ft. panel at 100 PSF (198 mph wind speed), 4 ft. x 8 ft. at 80 PSF (127 mph) and 6 ft. x 6 ft. at 68 PSF (153+ mph). Depending on the velocity of an object "thrown" at the glass blocks, they could chip/break. Although they are 3/4" thick, being glass, they are subject to breakage.
