A: I don't know.
I like this bulb very much just as it is, for its brightness and its trueness to colors, which most long-life bulbs do not offer (they distort reds, blues and can appear dim or grim.)
I hope they don't change this item; it's nice to know that I can source it at Home Depot and should be buying another one in the near future.

A: I live in central Missouri and use mine at a outdoor location without structural coverage over the outdoor security light fixture the bulbs are used in and they perform fine. I have had the fixture in use for more than a year now, without replacement bulbs.

Answer This Question
A: No, they are just light bulbs. You would have to buy a fixture that has a motion sensor on it.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes, they do. You can select the detection range on the detector unit.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes. You will need the right fixture for the bulbs.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes
by|May 5, 2023
A: The bulbs come on at full brightness as soon as they are activated to turn on by your light fixture's sensing device. The bulbs, themselves, do not dense movement.
by|May 5, 2023
A: The bulb itself has no sensor. It is used in conjunction with a motion sensor interior- exterior security light fixture. The bulb doesn't produce the brightness of a regular bulb, but do a good job of lighting up the exterior of our house.

Answer This Question
A: The box says it is dimmable.
by|Jun 19, 2019
A: We have manual diming
by|May 4, 2023
A: Dusk to dawn is not the dimmable feature. It will do that w/o dimming It's either on or off in that mode. The dimmabel feature is a reduction in light while it's on. Some security lighting allows for this feature. They stay on all night, but with reduced light level unless activated by the motion sensor at which time they come up to full brightness until movement is no longer detected. I use these bulbs in that type of fixture and they work fine.

Q:can I use this t o replace a120 Watt 130 volt commercial down light 150BR40/FL/120

Answer This Question
A: A Halogen lamp rated for 130V, can be replaced by a Halogen lamp rated for 120V as long as the main supply voltage is 120V. You will get a bit less light than that of a 130V, but the lamp will work okay. If the mains voltage is 130V and you use a 120V lamp, the lamp life will be reduced. Other than that, the lamp will work okay.

A: 1. Yes I think it compares well to a standard halogen bulb. It lights bright, does not flicker at all, and continually stays the same brilliance.
2. No it comes on just like a normal halogen bulb - quickly and with a uniform brilliance.

A: Hello lights123,
Philips EcoVantage is all about savings without sacrifice. Philips EcoVantage products allow you to reduce energy consumption without sacrificing the qualities of a traditional bulb.
Halogen bulbs work similarly to incandescent bulbs, by heating a filament of tungsten metal. Halogen products are filled with a special gas that causes the vaporized tungsten to be deposited back onto the filament allowing Halogen bulbs to last longer, and be more efficient.
This light bulb will not take extra time to warm up and will provide a bright, white wide beam of light. This product is also fully dimmable.
