Answer This Question
A: Thank you for contacting Pergo. Remember that while laminate floors are water-resistant, they are not waterproof. Moisture related incidents should be cleaned up within 30 minutes to avoid permanent damage.
Please read this installation guide for a full list of precautions.

Q:Is Pergo XP Ligoria compatible with Pergo Laminate plank flooring?
by|Jan 4, 2016

Answer This Question
A: You can place a threshold transition piece between the 2 rooms. The laminate plank probably has underlay attached (most do) and the ligoria slate does not, so the heights won't be the same. We use Alexandria walnut on the rest of the 1st floor and ligoria slate in the kitchen/breakfast room. The are transitions where it meets and it looks really nice (our transitions are in the ligoria slate but you could probably do it in the other floor - I think they picked the higher floor and used the transition that matched.

A: Thank you for your interest in Pergo. The joint on Ligoria Slate is different from other Pergo XP products, so it will not fit together and a transition would be needed to join the two floors.

Q:what to use to clean the floor
by|Dec 7, 2015

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for contacting Pergo. Here are the cleaning instructions for your floor. To clean, an occasional damp (not wet) mop, quick sweeping or light vacuuming with the hard floor attachments are usually all it takes. When damp mopping, an Ideal solution is a combination of 1 gallon of water with 1 cup vinegar or ½ cup of ammonia. Be sure to squeeze the water out of the mop thoroughly before mopping, and rinse the mop frequently. A spray bottle with the same water and vinegar/ammonia solution mentioned above is a great way to spot clean between moppings.
Pergo floors must never be waxed, polished, sanded or refinished and never use a steam, wet or jet mop when cleaning. Do not use soaps, detergents, or cleaners with wax because they may leave a film, dulling the floor.
