A:  Almost any floor choice can update the style of your bedroom. Please visit a local store for a consultation to help with your decision and review current sales. Square footage is calculated by length x width plus percentage for cutting into place. Example is 12" x 12" room is 144 sq ft + 10% (14) =158 Each region has a basic install rate, which does not include all preparation that might be needed in your application.

A:  Amy, not much too it, pull out the carpet and baseboard (save the baseboard). Assuming the floor is flat, you are pretty much ready to go depending on what your floor is. If concrete you may need to check the moisture and seal it if needed, if it is concrete and cold consider a drylock subfloor. If just a wood floor you will still need a underlayment of some sort, either attached to the engineered floor itself or sometimes it is seperate. I find you get what you pay for in the flooring. If you are not too picky on color you can often find some on clearence. For area, just length of the room times the width of the room give you the square feet.
