Q:are these 10d nails by any chance? trying to find nails for the strapping

Answer This Question
A: These are 10d nails but you can’t use them for strapping. It takes specific spacing of nail strips. Simpson offers them but I have not used them. I have always used hot dipped Galvis and hand nailed straps and joist hangers.

A: Hi AlexG, 10d nails are 3 inches long. These are 2 3/8 inches long, so they are 5/8" shorter than 10d nails. Thank you!

A: Hello! Thanks for reaching out. If these nails are the right gauge and size for your application, no reason they cannot be used. We also carry HDG 0 Degree Coil Siding Nails, which you can use with the Duo-Fast DF225C Pneumatic 0 Degree Coil Siding Nailer which is specifically for Siding. Wish you well on the work you need to do!

A: It’s tons of different sidings, have to be a lot more specific.
by|Oct 21, 2022
A: No, the diameter is too large and they will split the siding.

A: Hello, Fencing usually calls for a small gauge nail (0.099”) but as long as you are using 30 degree paper tape framing nails of size range 2"-3.5" length in diameters 0.113, 0.120 or 0.131 then you can use this tool. Thanks!

Q:What is rim shank mean
by|Jun 7, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Ring shank means there are rings or grooves on the nail to lessen the chance of it backing out.
by|Jun 14, 2022
A: Hello, Ring Shank means there is an annular (circular) deformation along the shank, typically near the point, which can increase the tensile withdrawal strength - this makes it harder for the nail to pull out. Thank you!
