A: I never removed the battery before in the unit between uses. Great question... But this one does need charging twice before it accepts a full cycle duty charge. So recharging after not using a while (several weeks or months), use it until depleted (it happens quick after 1st recharge), then second recharge is much, much, much, much longer and accepts full duty charge. Will last for hours at this point. Had the 12V generation before this with Ni-Cads and thought that was actually better. But this is good too if you know about the double recharge described. Enjoy! It is a great controlled and comfortable drill where I wouldn't buy anything but.
