Q:Which direction are you adjusting for the amount of coverage?

    Answer This Question

A:  I haven't the foggiest idea. My two sprinklers aren't working correctly and need to be replaced with a different product. They used to provide a radius of about 15+ feet of spray across my back yard (a rainbird system), but they have been spraying only about 3 feet recently. I got the instructions from the website, but they only showed that #7 was the right thing to twist with no indication of which way to twist it. I figured I was trying to open a stream of water, so I twisted counter-clockwise. (Clockwise normally closes a valve.) That didn't either turn off the stream or increase it to the previous distance. If it had changed the distance in the wrong direction, I would have tried the opposite direction. I had previously turned off the controller because of rain. I had also previously cleaned out the two sprinklers (but found nothing likely to prevent the water from flowing). Water pressure was correct to the back yard. I previously bought two new sprinklers which fit the base but didn't solve the problem. So I returned them to Home Depot and got a refund. I hate to spend a lot of money on an expert but may have to do so. These rain bird sprinklers should JUST work. Products sold in the U.S. should be clear instructions in ENGLISH and perhaps Spanish instead of a lot of images and mini-instructions in multiple languages.

A:  Benji, no this sprinkler nozzle is a 180-degree fixed spray pattern. It can't be adjusted to spray the full 360 degrees, if that's what you're seeking.

A:  l haven't measured them, but I'd say you are close to 6" with the head and the feed pipe below it. The head itself is around 4".

A:  1234, the water flow rate will vary depending on your water pressure. For a starting point, just as an example, a water pressure of 25 psi will result in this sprinkler using 1.5 GPM. For more information, please feel free to contact our Support team at 1-800-488-6156. We'd be happy to help in any way we can. Thanks!
