    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, thank you for your question. The 'Palace Purple thrives outdoors, where it can go dormant and rest during the winter months. It follows an annual cycle of new growth in spring, filling out in summer, dying back in spring, and resting in winter. This cycle is imperative to its survival and it would be challenging, perhaps downright difficult, to duplicate indoors.

        by|May 6, 2023

A:  Yes, the 'Palace Purple blooms! In late spring to early summer, tiiny, pinkish white, bell-shaped flowers in open, airy panicles are borne on slender, wiry, dark red stems extending well above the mound of leaves, typically to a height of 15-24".

            Answer This Question

A:  Hello, thank you for your question. Depending upon what area of the country you are in, the 'Palace Purple would prefer a full sun or a partly shaded site. In the northern region, the plant would like a sunny site. To tolerate the hot days of the deep South, the Heuchera prefers a site with afternoon shade.

A:  Yes, I have them on the front porch in a pot. The porch does not get a lot of light. These plants are doing well.

                  Answer This Question

A:  I have been watering it every other day since it arrived and it seems to be thriving.

                  by|May 4, 2023

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. The Palace Purple Coral Bells requires consistently moist soil. Water logged soil will suffocate the plant. Too dry of a soil will cause the leaves to burn and die. To check soil moisture, dig down 4-6 in., pick up some soil, press it into a ball in your hand. If it sticks and stays together, the soil moisture is adequate. If it crumbles and turns to dust, it is too dry. If there is more water than soil, it is too wet.
