A: Thank you for your interest in our product. Our product can be installed on durock, drywall, cement backerboard, concrete, cinderblock. It can not be installed on aluminum, stainless steel etc. because the modified thinset adhesive will not adhere to that type of surface.

A: They are real brick, just thinner, so they would be fireproof. If you're putting it behind a wood stove I would adhere it with mortar to cement board, or whatever local fire code calls for.

A: It would hold up to the exposure since it is real brick, but it would be difficult to make a solid edging since it's only 1/2" thick. Regular brick or garden edging would be a better choice, I'd think.

A: I have only used in the interior space. However, it is real brick. So, as long as you secure it in place with something suitable for the elements, I believe it would be just fine.
