A: The hot water valve will handle more than 100 degrees F and the discharge temperature from the washing machine would not be that high. Please reach out to Oatey to further clarify your question.

by|Dec 25, 2018
A: Yes you can by not moving the lever fully open. It will open both hot and cold the same amount.

A: 1/4 turn valve , on or off

A: It is a quarter turn ball valve that is mainly open or close. There can be a little fluctuation in the flow if you partially open.

Q:The valve is leaking where the lever stem connects to the valve. I know I can disassemble and replace o-rings but life would be a lot simpler to just swap out the body, if I could find one. The screws for removing the valve are 2 3/4" on center, and of course, other manufacturers valves are not interchangeable. Or, is Oatey forcing me to buy a whole laundry box just for the valve? I can find replacements for every other valve manufacturer out there, which may be something to consider if you're looking at this model.

A: Not sure about the replacement valve, If you have the same box i'm sure the box cost nothing and the valve is the price you're paying for. This model, the center to center on hot and cold are 2 -1/2". From the center of the handle to either the hot or cold valve is 1-1/14"
