A:  JDQuick, Yes it can be inverted, even with hammer arresters.

A:  Our supply boxes are composed of “Low Lead” components- max 0.2% lead and 65% copper by weight.

A:  The plain box is part 38550.

A:  No. Those screws hold the valve top to the tailpiece. These should not be removed unless replacing the valve top.

A:  No, This access is for the valve maintenance. They do make units with hammer protection already installed.

A:  The hot water valve will handle more than 100 degrees F and the discharge temperature from the washing machine would not be that high. Please reach out to Oatey to further clarify your question.

A:  Yes, put the valve where you want it (right or left side).

A:  Yes, you can position the drain and valve in any of the 3 ports on the bottom of the box. That's one of the many attributes this box offers.

A:  Yes, you can have the drain on the left side or on the right side. The valve assembly is removable and can be installed in the last two holes or the right two holes.

A:  Yes there are multiple options easily selected.

A:  Yes there are several positions it can be mounted

A:  Yes, they can be switched.

A:  Yes, with the small lever you can open it as much as you need.

A:  Yes you can by not moving the lever fully open. It will open both hot and cold the same amount.

A:  1/4 turn valve , on or off

A:  Yes you can but hot and cold are controlled simultaneously.

A:  It is a quarter turn ball valve that is mainly open or close. There can be a little fluctuation in the flow if you partially open.

A:  No they are 2 3/8" on center

A:  Not sure about the replacement valve, If you have the same box i'm sure the box cost nothing and the valve is the price you're paying for. This model, the center to center on hot and cold are 2 -1/2". From the center of the handle to either the hot or cold valve is 1-1/14"
