A:  Thank you for your question. OSI QUAD Window, Door & Siding Sealant is paintable with latex paint or primer once it is fully cured. Cure time is 7-14 days and is dependent on temperature, humidity, and depth of sealant applied.

        Q:How do you blend a new bead of this with an existing cured bead of OSI Quad Advanced Formula 10 ex. when the two beads meet up (apply new bead and end meets a cured bead end that was cut clean)?

        A:  Thank you for your question. OSI QUAD Sealant will adhere to itself if the surface is clean and free of any foreign materials. However, in general, if recaulking is the project removal of old sealant is the industry best practice. OSI does not recommend caulking over existing sealants/caulking’s.                 A:  Thank you for the question. It may be possible to use OSI QUAD Sealant but the results will depend upon the nature of the cracks. If these cracks are running with the grain of wood, this is a natural occurrence and your intended use may only work temporarily. If the gaps are man-made joints, as in fillet joints or flush joints, then the success will depend upon the size and condition of joint you need to seal.
