Q:Do these need to be screwed into a stud to hold that weight or can they be screwed into hollow drywall? Thanks!

Answer This Question
A: I would NOT screw them directly into hollow drywall even for very light loads. At a minimum I'd use a decent drywall anchor, but if you can use a stud you really should -- especially for heavier loads.

A: Thank you for your interest in Hillman products! Because weight is rarely distributed evenly, this will not work in this application. The safe working load for each item is 20lbs.

Q:Or if you had a link to another clip that can hold the weight. I will most likely use those metal drywall anchors that can hold 50 lbs for any clip that I don't screw directly into a stud.
Thanks
