A:  Yes it was easy to set up

A:  If you are referring to the anchors and ropes, first, you will place the anchors in the ground with the curved part above the surface. Then you will take the long end of the rope and put it through the loop on the greenhouse cover. You will then take that end and put it through one of the holes on the metal part which will create a loop in the rope; you will then have one long part of the line which connects and ties to the top of the actual anchor in the ground. The metal part can then adjust the loop to make it tighter or looser.

A:  You will need to throw a layer of something over-the-top.

A:  A little over 6 feet

A:  Depending on how you hold it down. Don't trust the tie down straps to holh it all, Get long wire ties and lash all the tubing around the plastic bracket they are in. If on the ground use extra tie down stakes and clamp the lower tubing to the ground. Place it in area out of the strongest wind and in sun.

A:  It probably depends on *where* you live in the northeast (speaking as someone who spent 20 winters in coastal New Jersey). In general, this greenhouse is more appropriate for more temperate climes - or at least more moderate areas of the northeast and in a sheltered area. I would also recommend a "milk shed heater" and a good remote thermometer, to control and monitor the greenhouse climate.

A:  We recommend that the greenhouses should not be used at all in extremely cold temperatures, especially when there is sleet, a blizzard, or a cold storm.

A:  I purchased this same greenhouse a couple of years ago, and it came with shelves - they are lightweight wire shelves, but they are sturdy enough to hold my plants, they let air circulate, they allow excess water to drain away. I would definitely pitch a fit - this is a good little greenhouse when it has shelves.

A:  There should have been 6 shelves with your purchase. my greenhouse did. you may have to return and reorder or get your money back

A:  (Customer Service - please note) Hello! 4 days ago, I was the one who posted that there were "no shelves" that came with the two boxes that I ordered. Well, two boxes JUST arrived and they contain (only) the shelves. So, I haven't put the portable Greenhouse together yet, but the shelves arrived AFTER the greenhouse structures were delivered. Customer Service, please feel free to delete my original question, if you feel it would deter a purchase from your customers. Thank you!!!!!

A:  The shelves measure 22.5" x 13.5".

A:  Mine holds 3 large pots and several small pots. I'm not sure the size but they are pretty spacious. Sorry I lost the instructions that came with the kit. Hope this is some help.

A:  28 inches by 12 inches are wire said to hold 75 pounds, but I don't think I will try that weight on them.

A:  Hi, this does not have any heating elements to it. I would suggest possibly a blanket or tarp to keep plants from frost.

A:  Please make sure it is in the sun so it can soak up as much sunshine during the day and make sure there are no gaps where cold air could seep in. Yes , a wrap over at night can be helpful.

A:  If you’re going to use it outside, cover it. I didn’t and all of my plants froze. There are vents in it so it doesn’t hold heat. I purchased another one from Calloway’s that was much better. The plastic was thicker and everything lived. I unzipped it once a week to water and it was fine. It was shorter than the walk-in but worked much better.

A:  I placed my greenhouse on my back porch in at least 5 hours of sunlight. When the temps got down in the teens I places two utility lights with 60watt bulbs the kind that clamp on the cold nights/days. I also place a thermometer inside my greenhouse to keep an eye on my temps. Just zip it up and that’s it. No need to put tarps or blankets over the greenhouse. The plastic cover is pretty thick and gives plenty of protection from frost. Make sure no limbs or delicate leave touch the sides of the greenhouse if the temps get really low. Hope this helps.

A:  Yes it handled the snow well for us. We have had it up 2 seasons now, and even with snow sitting on top until it melted off it never wavered or buckled. I honestly was a bit surprised, but it is still standing strong.

A:  That would totally depend on how much snow you are talking about. It would be able to handle a little snow in my opinion, but a thick layer of snow might be too much for it. I took the cover off mine for the winter and here in Central Texas we dont get much snow anyway.

A:  I am not sure because we don't have much snow where I live. I would think that snow would slide off top if the skin is tight.

A:  No I would not recommend this product with snow or ice.

A:  The tent cover is designed to last about two seasons. That’s why they offer a cover only option to purchase as well for replacement. I do not believe this would be a option for use in cold weather with snow , the design for the roof support is for the tent cover and would need additional support to hold any weight. But the cold weather on the plastic tent going from cold to warm would probably diminish the life of the tent considerably.

A:  We recommend that the greenhouses should not be used at all in extremely cold temperatures, especially when there is sleet, a blizzard, or a cold storm. If you choose to use in a light snow you should not have any problems, but I would suggest keeping it clear of buildups of snow as it is not designed to withstand that.

A:  No, this product is for use outdoors.

A:  I donated it to a monastery last year and they used it last year outdoors. But if I recall, the green house only lay on the ground without any stakes driven into the soil, so you should be able to lay it on the carpet or hard floor indoors. But the cold air conditioning might seep in, so you’ll have to , like , maybe lay down sealing tape where the floor meets the wall and have some window sunlight to warm up the green house.

A:  Yes. We are currently using it indoors to grow mushrooms.
