A:  The mounting bar should be on the flattest part of the siding. You might need to use spacers behind the support arms depending where they land on the siding.

A:  Width is measured from Left side to Right side. Projection is the distance the awning sticks out from the building and the "H" is the height or drop from top of awning to the lowest point against the house. The product description above is for a 36" Wide x 41" projection.
