A: Yes you can. You would first place the first planter kit down first, but do not put the caps on. Then take the next planter kit and build it on top of the last planter kit but without the grid. The top post will connect to the bottom post.

A: You can hold just dirt, since the box needs dirt for the plants to grow. You could just put in the dirt and not the plants. The weight will not be that much to cause cracking in the concrete below.

A: It is HDPE for the boards, which are recycled shampoo bottles and milk jugs. The grids are made of recycled car bumpers.
