A: Hi There,
Thank you for reaching out to Newair! We appreciate your interest in our product. I wanted to let you know that while our ice maker does not keep the ice for a long time, it does produce a fresh batch of ice every 6 minutes. To ensure that you have a steady supply of ice, we recommend storing the ice in a freezer.
If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to ask. We're here to help!

A: You may use distilled water with your portable ice maker but please take note of the following:
You may use distilled water with this ice maker but please take note of the following:
The ice maker has a water sensor that is designed to detect water present in the internal reservoir. This sensor utilizes an electric current to detect the presence of water. This electronic sensor may not detect purified, filtered, reverse osmosis, or distilled water due to the low level of mineral content in these types of water. You may need to add a pinch of salt to the water to increase the mineral content which will allow the sensor to work properly.

A: Thank you for contacting Newair. It is not recommended to use Distilled water with the ice maker. Best Regards, Customer Care
by|Dec 1, 2022
A: I don't see why using distilled water would be a problem. If anything, there would be fewer impurities/minerals than I have in my filtered well water.
