A:  Hello Thomas, Thank you for your questions. Our solar panels are designed for charging 12V systems. So our solar panels would not work with a 6V system. However, if you had 2 6V batteries wired in series, to create a 12V system, then yes you could use our solar panels.

A:  For charging, the Black and Decker 400 electromate uses a DC automobile cigarette-plug style outlet, as well as a standard wall plug-in outlet.

A:  Connect your solar panel to your charge controller. Then connect your charge controller to your deep cycle batteries.

A:  Yes, but you will need a separate charge controller. The Black and Decker has a built-in AC charger, but no controller for DC charging. This 40W panel can provide more amps than would be recommended to connect directly to the B&D battery. The controller should be rated for at least 4 Amps or 50 Watts or so. Then, you will need the proper connectors to attach the solar panel to the charge controller input and then the charge controller output to the DC Accessory port on the B&D.
