A:  I don't know the number of the store I visited --- it's the store in Waltham, MA --- but, NO, that area rug was not available there. Nor were any others that appealed to me for use in the breezeway between my garage and the little passageway between my living room and kitchen. I quickly concluded, I think encouraged by one of the store people, to go online at home. Almost immediately there appeared maybe half a dozen attractive rugs...of which this was just what I had hoped for.

A:  I answered this. It was NOT available at the store --- in Waltham, MA --- that I visited. The choice there was very limited. ONLINE was a different story. So that's how I made my purchase.l

A:  Hello! Yes, this indoor/outdoor rug can get wet. The marine backing allows water to pass through the rug instead of absorbing it, similar to the carpet you find on boats.

A:  The passageway in which this rug is installed is protected on two open sides only by screening, with a screen door on each side. So it is very much open with the rug running lengthwise on a concrete floor between the screens. That width of the breezeway is about 11 feet, so there's about 1-1/2 feet at each end. It will certainly get a lot of exposure to moisture and I'm counting on it being able to take it. It won't be like rain falling on it, but the air will get as moist as air can get when there's rain falling outside of the screens. I'm counting on it being OK. It has been in place now about 6 weeks, during which there've been some pretty rainy days, but I can't see that it has affected the rug in the least bit.
