Answer This Question

A:  I have a Milwaukee Model 49-56-7250 and a Starrett Model A-10 arbor and both work fine. I have 12 Milwaukee hole saws, 10 Starrett hole saws and two "orange" ones and the same arbor fits all of them. I am pretty sure that the various manufacturers have standardized on the hole pattern.

A:  Other manufacturers offer similar-looking hole saws that are designed for drilling in some masonry materials, but those have tungsten carbide teeth, while these Big Hawgs feature steel teeth. The steel teeth on these make them much easier to sharpen yourself, but definitely do not use them in concrete.

          Answer This Question

A:  The 49-56-9065 Milwaukee® 6-1/4" Big Hawg™ Hole Cutter is designed for wood drilling applications and will not work on plaster with metal mesh. We recommend using the 49-56-0305 Milwaukee® 6-3/8 in. Recessed Light Hole Saw available at homedepot.com.
