A: Sure! It maxes out at 800 rpm and 100 in. lb. of torque unloaded, so as long as you don't have to dig in too hard it would do a fine job. I would keep a spare charged battery at hand since it is only 12v, constant use will drain them faster!

A: i would think you would want to use an orbital buffer you would be less appt to leave deep scratches if you were to stay on one spot to long (got to keep moving) this drill would work but you would need to have extra batteries

A: No, If you are wanting to cut 2" pipe you will need a cut off saw, grinder with cut off wheel, or band saw. The m18 reciprocating saw will do the job but it wont be a pleasant experience. The m12 will take a long time to cut through.

A: Yes, it will. I did this today. I used the Diablo heavy metal blade and it cut it no problem.

A: I have this hackzall kit and it would be asking a lot to cut through 2" galvi. I'd recommend the sawzall or band saw to do the job better. The hackzall is more for smaller cuts. If your looking to cut 2" pipe all the time then no, if your doing it once then ya a couple batteries would get it. Hope this helps.

A: Not sure what the exact weight of the M12 series cordless tools are compared to the 18 volt series, but I can say this I have been using the M12 series tools for over 6 years now in my business and for 95% of the jobs M12 works great. I do have Makita LX18 cordless line of tools but only use the Makita about 5% of the time. At the end of the day I am not has fatigued due to the fact the M12 series is allot lighter.

A: Sure, as long as you don't get too crazy with it. It will cut sheetrock really fast if you are not careful. It will work, but not necessarily the best tool for the job.

Q:I've seen Milwaukee do a M12 fuel demo showing how close it performed to the brushed m18 hackzall, but nothing that compares the performance of M18 fuel to M12 fuel. put another way, I have a corded Milwaukee sawzall, how much percentage of the work can can the m12 fuel hackzall handle and how much can the m18 fuel hackzall handle compared to the full size sawzall?

Answer This Question
A: I havent used it extensively yet compared to my corded sawzall. But i think
that the Fuel will be a compact and useful alternative in certain applications where space and manuverability will be needed. It will not replace my corded Sawzall ax that thing can take down a wall without breaking a sweat!
As far as compared to the M12 I'll go for more
power/torque any time I can afford it. I wore out an M12 ratchet in less than a year doing auto restoration work so I bought a M18 Fuel ratchet to replace it.

A: The m12 voltage pack is larger than the batteries used in the power drill units. This allows for longer use of the brushless hackzall. Plus, if the enlarges m12 battery wears out before the job is completed, you can use the smaller m12 batteries from the power drills.

A: Night and day difference. The m18 is a beast that will quickly cut through anything you throw at it. The m12 hackzall is good in tight areas. Under cabinet plumbing, between floor joists etc. But will not perform as well at m18. They both have their place. Neither will easily replace the other.

A: I think it will work fine for job, use Milwaukee metal blade.
by|Oct 15, 2019
A: Yes, with the correct length blade it will cut it like butter.
by|Oct 15, 2019
A: This tool is plenty powerful . Make sure you have a good metal blade and you will have no problem
by|Oct 15, 2019
A: No idea
The smaller blades might cut metal, check the specs on the blade
by|Jul 16, 2020
A: Yes, it shouldn't be a problem at all. For blades, just get a few shorter bi-metal blades and you'll be fine. I've cut a little bit of everything with mine and no regrets.

Answer This Question
A: It depends on the type of bit you are using. The maximum size shank would be 3/8” but you can get bits with a 3/8” shank that will drill a much bigger hole.

A: The manual says you can use up to a 1" spade bit but I had problems with 1" bits bogging down. This was drilling in framing from an older home. 3/4" bits worked fine. You can see more in my review below.

A: Honestly small. Anything slightly big and it locks up. 1/2 at best
by|Sep 28, 2019
A: I know it won't easily drill a 3/4" hole through a 2x4 with a spade bit.

A: Per the Operators Manual, max capacity in wood with a twist drill bit is 3/8", with a spade bit = 1".
