A:  For half lite doors, medium pet doors are the largest pet door that can be installed on the door. There is a security plate that slides down from the top of the pet door and latches into place. There is no room between that plate and the door lite for larger pet doors. We do have doors with large and extra large pet doors available on homedepot.com. Try searching "MMI Door large pet door", and it will bring up the doors we offer with those pet doors installed.
