A: Hi! Our Twenties Vintage is not hard to keep clean and like all of our products, is rather easy to maintain. Aside from soap and water, we also recommend using a neutral, non-acidic cleaner that is safe for everyday cleaning. A product that would fit into this category would be the Custom Building Products Grout and Tile Cleaner, which can found at the following link https://thd.co/2TMZvKx. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

Q:Does it need extra underlayment to help prevent cracking since it's so thin? My contractor is worried this will crack for floors because it's not very thick tile and is suggesting an extra barrier membrane.

A: I used this tile on a bathroom floor. It was well framed with a 3/4” subfloor and I used a 1/2” jet board as an underlayment.

A: I applied it to a concrete floor and it hasn’t budged, cracked, or broken. It is not thin at all. Buy a sample to show your contractor.

Q:Is this tile black, gray, or dark gray? Will it go well with black and white bathroom? Will it hold a large cast iron tub without cracking?

Answer This Question
A: Hi! Our Twenties Vintage has more of a charcoal black color tone. We have included a color scale in the product images to help customer gauge the true appearance of this tile. We also recommend purchasing a sample to determine if the product suits your preferences. As for the tub, this tile has a break strength of 250 lbs which is as measured at a single point. Once installed on a proper subfloor which helps distribute any weight more evenly, these tiles can withstand much greater weight. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

A: I used it for our entry way, but it is not a glossy tile so I wouldn’t expect it to be very slippery. It would be your choice.
