Q:Is it possible to buy these individually as a sheet instead of a case?
by|Jan 12, 2019

Answer This Question
A: Hi jane,
This product is currently sold as a case of 10 sheets, which covers 9.2 square feet. At this time, this is the only quantity that we are selling our Oxford Matte White with Black Dot as.
Please keep in mind that we encourage ordering 10% more than your calculated amount to assure that you order enough tile to account for cutting, future repairs and dye lot and caliber consistency. Also, it is always great to have a couple extra laying around the house in the event of a future project or damages down the road. If multiple orders are placed, there is a chance that you may experience issues with dye lot and caliber consistency.
If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Q:In my shower .that I put in yesterday

Answer This Question
A: Hey there,
Design questions like this are matters of personal preference. What we recommend is seeing the tile in the space prior to placing a large order. We offer samples of this tile adhered to 4.5” x 5” sample cards, offering a color and texture sample, not a look at the whole tile. To see the whole tile, we recommend ordering a case. Home Depot offers a 90-day return policy on all unused items returned in the full quantity that they are sold (for these, by the case). Please note that variation in color, shade and texture are inherent characteristics of glass, glazed tile and stone. The actual material received may vary from this sample. The pattern, shape, dye lot (color) and size of the actual tile received may vary. For information about samples, give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Q:Are these tiles porcelain or ceramic? The info above says they are porcelain but when I received them, the box says "ceramic". That's a big difference. What's the story?
by|Aug 20, 2017

Answer This Question
A: Good Afternoon,
These tiles are porcelain. Porcelain is a type of ceramic, but porcelain is baked at different temperatures, which causes porcelain to be denser than ceramic. Also, it is typically made from different clays, and fired for a longer time period. The type on the box that you saw is a generic statement printed by the factory about ceramic and mosaic tile. This generic message is printed on their boxes for all of the items that we carry from this factory. If you have any further questions, give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Q:Can this tile be used for a shower floor?
by|Mar 26, 2017

Answer This Question
A: Good Afternoon,
This tile is a great choice for a shower floor! This tile meets ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Guidelines for slip resistance, making it a highly skid resistant option. Also, this item is glazed, so the tile will not absorb water though the glaze. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Q:Is the Oxford matte white with black dot porcelain tile suitable to use on front porch and front pathway
by|Mar 13, 2016

Answer This Question
A: Hi Christine,
This tile can be used in this location. This tile is impervious, meaning it absorbs little water, and it is also frost proof, so it will not crack or be damaged in freezing temperatures. This tile has a mid-level durability rating which is the only thing to be concerned about. The dirt that can be found on this walkway could potentially scratch the surface of this tile. If you will not be walking on it much, this should not be a huge concern as it can withstand small amounts of dirt. Plus, this tile is also very slip resistant, even when wet, so you can run out to the mailbox in the rain without sliding around. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

A: Good Morning,
Unfortunately, our Oxford series does not have any trims that coordinate. However, our Metro series has a large selection of patterns and colors and has a small bullnose that coordinates with all. Please view this series here: http://thd.co/1Ri49f6 . We do not have Cove base products that coordinate with either of these series. If you have any further questions, please contact our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this was helpful!

A: Good morning,
We recommend that any tile being used for a commercial application have a PEI rating of 4 or higher. PEI Rating (short for Porcelain Enamel Institute) measures the tile’s resistance to abrasion. Our Oxford Matte white with Green Dot has a PEI rating of only 3 so it is not recommended for commercial applications.
