A:  I've owned this model for over 3 months and have yet to see wear on the button lettering. We use it to dispense water and ice multiple times a day.

A:  There is a small reservoir in the fresh food section of the Maytag Side by Side that water is stored in. This water is chilled to the temperature you set in this section. If you use more than the reserved amount of water at one time, then the water would be at a temperature of what your home water is on cold. Thank you for viewing this Maytag home appliance.
