If you wanted to use and exhaust venting system with this cooktop you would need to install one behind the cooktop or a range hood or over the range microwave above it. A:  If your talking about some sort of built in oven in a cabinet or something yes maybe. If your talking about as a replacement top only for an existing free standing range? NO

A:  Big-E, This electric cooktop is not that hard to install. The cooktop drops into the cutout on the countertop, then is hardwired into the existing electrical wires. A:  It is not hard at all. Pay attention when removing the old one. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF! ALL OFF TURN A BURNER ON AFTER U TURN IT OFF MAKES SURE ITS OFF! There is a little box under the cabinet after turning the power off (did I mention that) Unscrew the plate off the box, three wires hot neg and ground with caps on wm un do em remove old cooktop. IF you paid attention and got the right size you still could hva eto boar some out to make it go down just right but still as far as the wiring its pretty simple. Replace the caps over the connections you ve made screw the plate back on, tighten the safety nut where the wires go in and turn the power back on and turn on a burner one burner at a time auntil all 4 are on full blast and make sure no breaker trips. If you get two or three burners on and the breaker trips. STOP AND Call a professional electrician. If all four burners ar eon high for atleast 5 10 minutes you succeeded and with this maytag model you likely will not have that problem.. The main keys are make sure the power is off and no power is stored in the lines. pay attention to what your unscrewing and screw the new one on the same way. And then test what you ve done. Some people try to add fancy glass cooktops to old wiring and that is going to cause breakers to trip because they are not desinged for the higher current needed. Again if your replacing a coil with a coil, you should have no problems at all GOOD LUCK!!!

A:  No. We do no not carry a 26" cooktop. Typical sizes are 30" and 36".

A:  If there is and I have never seen one, it is going to be much narrower as well, PLUS because of the rairty of it you ll probably pay more for it then a 30" 4" isnt that much, If you can handle a a jigsaw and even if you have t buy one ($35) it is simple to cut the hole a little bigger (If you got room) I think I ve seen 21" but not 26" Might try looking at an RV parts appliance place for odd sizes too
