A:  Thank you for your question on the XRU02Z trimmer. This trimmer has a a bump and feed trimmer head as part number 195858-1. Makita does not recommend using third party accessories on tools other than those specifically designed for.

A:  I believe if it is an 18 volt battery tool, the 18volt batteries should work. I suggest buying the extended charge, either 5.0 or 6.0 AH batteries. 

A:  Sorry, all I can say that this uses an 18 volt battery/charger, the same ones in the drill and the other Makita hand tools we have. We don’t have a chain saw however.

A:  Depends on what batteries are compatible with that model. I took this trimmer back because it was too small. I bought the bigger model that takes 2 - 18 volt 5 amp batteries.

A:  I have several Makita battery tools. If the batteries used are all 18 volt they can be used in all 18 volt Makita tools. Zeke should be good to go with the tool only purchase.
