A: Thank you for your question on the XLT02Z impact wrench. This tool does not have a variable torque adjuster. The Maximum Torque (Ft.lbs./N•m): 44 ft.lbs./60 N•m and it will depend on the time and variable speed of the tool. Please see owner's manual for more information.

Q:On 18V LXT 3/8 in. Angle Impact Wrench: Does the attached battery extend beyond the plane of the head with a standard length socket attached)? If so, it's unusable on a wide and long surface unless a deep socket and/or extension is used.

A: Thank you for your opinion on the XLT02Z impact wrench, However, with over one foot of tool extension for extra reach into tough to reach spaces. In addition, the impact housing can be rotated into one of 8 radial positions for difficult hand/angle positions. Makita is always working to improve our products.
