Q:I bought this saw recently have have only used it a couple of weeks cutting stair treads. The shaft is not spinning freely. If I take the saw blade off, I can not turn the shaft with my fingers. Something does not seem right. Any help here?

    A:  Thank you for your question. No, the SP6000J1 is not compatible with diamond blades. We recommend using our carbide blade part number B-07353.

        Q:Could you cut a 5 ft porcelain tile with this saw? I need to cut 5 inches off the entire edge of a 5 ft tile plank.

        A:  porcelain tile should be cut with a special blade and a wet saw. I would not advise using a circular saw regardless of the blade.
