A:  Thank you for your question on the RT0701C router. No, this router does not come with a case. However, you can purchase an interlocking case, for your storage needs. Part number 197213-3.

              A:  You can use a variety of bits, up it, compression - down it, bullnose bits up to and including green bowl cut bits in sizes of 1/4.  It is a versatile router that has been used with Cuc machines as well as a hand router.

                      Q:Are Ryobi router bits not compatible with this Makita Router? I purchased this Makita router with the 1/4?? collet feature thinking the Ryobi bit set with 1/4?? shank will fit. Should there be a separate 1/4?? collet cone with the Makita?

                        A:  I had the same problem with other 1/4in shank bits you can try using a 1/4in Ryobi collet on your Makita see if that works.

                            A:  I have this router and use the Ryobi bits. For reference I use bit kit part number, A25RS51. Search for that and you’ll be confident they will work perfectly.

                                A:  No it is not you can adjust the depth of the cut in increments but you cannot plunge cut.

                                  A:  It is not a plunge router, and AFAIK there is no accessory to make it one.  You would have to lower it into the work piece manually
