Q:If I have a book case that has a warped bottom, could I use this to flatten it out or would I be better off using a belt sander?

Answer This Question
A: I would start with a sander and work on the warped spot. This would take off a layer all the way across and could end up taking off too much. Start with sander and do a little at a time to ensure you don’t take to much.

Q:Can this planer handle pressure-treated hard lumber? Can it handle pressure-treated lumber that is still wet?

Answer This Question
A: "Thank you for you question KP0800K Planer. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock. As far as rusting the tool will not rust but using it in wet conditions is not recommended."

A: Most pressure treated lumber is southern pine. Southern yellow pine is about half as hard as red oak. This planer handles red osk with ease, in my experience. I would clean the llaner well after use though as the treatment chemicals corrode some metals. Maybe make a pass ot two on some non treated stock and then blow it out. Also take respiratory cautions.

A: I didn’t use it on pressure wood but I don’t see why it couldn’t. It’s pretty powerful.

Answer This Question
A: No, it’s just a surface planer, and a very good one at that. Sounds like you need a router or rabbet jig for a saw.

A: 6.5 amps are equal to 780 watts at 120volts AC. so you'll need at least 800 Watts to 1000Watts peak power output. In KVA, you need 1 KVA generator.
