Questions and Answers for Magellan 5-1/4 in. D x 48 in. L Crown Moulding Shelf

A:  My husband (who hung it) says it is partially open. It is easy to install and adjust it's horizontal positioning. Hope this helps.

A:  hollow. The bar that attaches to the wall slides into the back of the shelf

A:  My shelf came in two pieces: (1) A dovetailed solid back piece that attached to the wall, and (2) a front piece (with a very small hollow space) that slides tightly down into place over the back piece.

A:  The shelf on the bottom is 53.5 inches wide.

A:  The bottom width of the floating mantle is 2 1/2”. Perfect fit for a mantelpiece for my fireplace.

A:  The shelf has 2 pre-drilled holes. If memory serves me correctly it will come with a paper template for placement of screws on the wall.

A:  No - the molding shelf comes in the following sizes in White: 5 1/2 x 24", 5 1/4 x 36", 5 1/4 x 48" and 5 1/4 x 60".

A:  I had all the hardware, but because it was bowed, we had to modify how we put it up.

A:  By my rough estimates, the depth is 2-1/4 inches and the length is 53-1/2. It would have been a good thing to know before I installed it because it is a little short looking on the bottom, over my fireplace. But it is an excellent product and easy to install.

A:  This item measures 60 x 5 x 3.5 inches.

A:  I measured it at 53-1/2 inches.

A:  You can place them anywhere you want. Hopefully you will locate studs in your wall first.

A:  You adjust the spacing by where you place them.
