Answer This Question

A:  It depends on the spline, but we find that .175 round spline is easier to install with 18x14 "Pool & Patio" fiberglass screening.

Q:What kind of screens are available? I need a fine screen for noseums. Do I change the spline accordingly? Thanks!

            Answer This Question

A:  Most screen materials will work with Mini Track. You will need to purchase 20x20 Fiberglass "noseeum" mesh and use our MT square Spline or .175 round spline. Thicker screening may require smaller spline.

A:  You can use any screen you want. The trick is adjusting the spline size based on thickness of your screen width.. I picked the screen I wanted to use and tried a few different spline sizes "Dry Fit" before I installed all my screens. I have several panels that have remained taught and splines in place for thre past year in all kinds of crazy weather conditions.

A:  It really does not matter which order you install them, the only difference will be where the seam is. When screening you should start at the top and do one side, then the other side and then the bottom.

Q:How easily can these be removed again once built and in place? can they be popped out without destroying the screen or bars?

                    Answer This Question

A:  No. Once installed they would be damaged / destroyed during removal if installed with the hidden fasteners. If you were to install by drilling them and using longer screws they could be removed.

A:  They are more difficult removing than installing for sure. Typically, if you can remove the track it messes up the bottom of the track that snaps over the screw heads. When installing the track the rounded screw heads force the track to bend outward just enough to snap over the head. There is no easy way to remove it without bending the bottom of the track.

A:  This system is not designed to be removed and re-installed but they are removable if needed but you would need to remove the screen and the tracks by gently prying from one need to the other.
