A:  Spout reach is measured from the center of the spout base horizontally out to the water stream. Spout height is measured from the sink/countertop surface vertically up to the highest point. Based on this definition, it is 8.5"

A:  A good faucet and works as described. Issues are specs & Moen support. Placing sensor on left side means handle must be backwards. Sensor must have 8 inches of clearance to work. Clearance below handle is ~1”. Normal air gaps are 2". I had to modify one with lathe & hacksaw to shorten one to 1” to clear sensor. Using a black cap will also work. Moen Support is terrible; often only can leave messages for call back being up to 5 days out. Great faucet if you can get past the install issues.
