A:  Depends on what is behind the wall. Need sufficient material to anchor it. Why one would do this is another matter entirely

A:  With the Proper fasteners, like Tapcons, I don't see why not.

A:  I can't think of any reason not to install outside. I just put one in the shower. However, be sure that the wall behind the stucco as well as the stucco itself can support screws/anchors that can be tightened with a lot of force. The bar should be able to securely hold the weight of someone hanging on it to steady themselves in any weather (including icy conditions) without the bar wiggling the slightest. Moen (manufacturer) says that the bar itself will sustain 500 lbs., but that depends on how it is attached.

Concealed Screw Grab Bar with SecureMount in Stainless Steel is packaged with the 2” mounting screws. The grab bar is designed for installation into a stud. The SecureMount Anchors are recommended for use in nonstud (hollow-wall) applications per installation instructions. The SecureMount Anchros are old separately. A:  Hi Gretel. No, the bar does not have a textured part. I honestly have never seen a grab bar with a textured handle. I hope this helps!

A:  Depends on the material being drilled. First, use different screws. Moen supplies stainless steel screws, but the heads strip out unless u r careful. if u r drilling thu tile, select a bit just larger than the treads for the tile hole. Then, if you r hitting a stud, just screw into it. If it is to be attached with an anchor, follow those directions.

If wood blocking is not available, the Moen SMA1000CH SecureMount Anchors are recommended for use in nonstud (hollow-wall) applications per installation instructions. A:  It is attached with provided screws. You will need to drill holes into stud for secure attachment

A:  Yes it will, you will have to drill 3 holes on each end to attach it. You might want to be sure that's what you want to do before drilling those holes. If you want remove it in the future you will have to live with those 6 holes in your tub or repair them somehow. It will be very difficult to repair those holes and make it look nice again.

A:  no. you have to secure it by screws.

A:  No, these are safety bars. I installed two of these (different lengths) in a newly installed fiberglass tub with wall surround. The recommended attachment method is to screw directly into the studs behind the fiberglass wall. My wife is extremely happy with these as they enable her to get in/out of the tub safely.

A:  There's 1.5" of clearance between the bar and the wall, plenty of space for virtually everyone's fingers to get a solid grip on the bar.

A:  The screws I used were approximately 1.5” long inserted into a plastic “Molly”. I believe that is the correct term. I was not able to find a stud.

A:  You could mount these in several ways. It comes with screws & plastic anchors. The strongest method is screwing it direct to the beams. Most house beans are 18 inches of center in mos houses. But you need a stud finder to find the beams. Second method is using plastic anchors if your wall is hollow. Third method is using butterfly anchor bolts, which you have to buy. The first two methods should come with the grab bar.

A:  The grab bar was installed with the tools that it came packaged with. It was installed in less than 15 minutes by my son. This was installed outside my front door and great and helpful in the winter time.
