The Moen Align Single-Handle Posi-Temp Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit in Chrome (Valve Not Included) has the option of you adding diverter kit CL707 that you can attach to the end of your shower arm and add an additional handheld shower with your fixed showerhead. If you would like to speak more on different options that will allow you to add an additional handheld shower to the existing Align tub/shower, please contact us directly at 800-289-6636. A:  I would really check with a plumber. We installed it with a tub/shower, and frankly it's been quite a while and I can't remember if it could be either/or. You might also check the Moen website-I went there for a lot of my information. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

A:  I do not know the answer to this question, you will need to consult a plumber.

A:  Yes. Simply cap off the tub spout connection. This will direct all flow to the shower head outlet.

A:  Yes, it worked fine in our "shower only" stall. We're disappointed in the water pressure that this unit produces.

You will need to purchase a ½ inch plug to cap off the bottom port of the valve. Please consult with your local Home Depot to assist you with this part of the purchase. A:  Yes you can , you cap off the down spout which forces the water up to the shower head when the valve is opened.

A:  Hello BooYa and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The Moen 2520 Rough-In Posi-Temp Tub and Shower Valve can be installed in various configurations to meet your faucet needs. To use this valve with a shower head and rain shower head, the bottom port on the valve should be capped and the top port will install into the diverter assembly. Moen does manufacture a 2 function (3375) or 3 function (3372) diverter valve. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call us at 800-289-6636. A:  This valve is designed to be used with a tub/shower combination as the flow is diverted up when the lower (tub flow) is blocked at the spout. You could plumb the lower flow to the shower head and then add a valve in that line to block the flow allowing the upper flow to divert to the overhead shower. The flow to the overhead shower would probable be just on/off. Also you would want to review the installation guide for this valve for minimum/maximum distances restrictions. Keep in mind that since other valves are available that are specifically designed to accomplish this you may wish to consult with one of the in-store plumbing associates before you commit to this arrangement. Hope I helped.

A:  If the second diverter valve has water plumbed to it you can operate separately, if the main valve has to be on to supply water to the second valve then both shower heads will be energized.

A:  Cap off the bottom inlet. Run the hot and cold supply lines to the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, then run a line from the top outlet (12 o'clock position) to the inlet on the diverter valve. The diverter valve has two outlets, one goes to the shower head and the other to the rainfall shower head. I recommend a three position diverter valve - fully turned one way goes to the shower, fully turned the other way goes to the rainfall, and in between is infinitely variable between the two.

A:  I had my plumber install it in a new shower for one shower head. Also required two valves for two separate shower heads in master shower.

Unfortunately, we have not tested our products for an outdoor application, therefore, we cannot recommend that our product be used in this manner. The Moen Brass Rough-In Posi-Temp Pressure-Balancing Cycling Tub and Shower Valve - 1/2 inch CC Connection cannot be converted to allow for volume control by using a different cartridge. Our Moentrol 3520 rough-in valve is a pressure balancing valve that allows for volume control. Installing a shower arm volume control will not harm the 2520 valve; but, it is not designed as a substitution for the control handle and should never be used as your main on/off control.
