Yes, you can unscrew the hand shower from the hose fitting. The hose fitting has a standard ½” thread. We would only recommend using a Moen hand shower as we have not tested this with other brands. A:  I honestly do not have a clue about proper fittings. Home Depot should be able to help you. I hired a plumber to install this for us.

A:  You will need to purchase the drop ell separately, It screws into the wall fitting from which you will remove the current shower head arm. The hose for the new.shower head attached to the drop ell.

A:  I don’t recall all that I needed to install this but the hose that connects directly to the shower head is what you will connect to your water source (see attached). I purchased this so my 5 year old can shower independently and he really loves that he can he can shower all by himself! See photos.
