    Answer This Question

A:  No, unfortunately aluminum isn't magnetic.

A:  No. They don't have any adhesive on them, and aluminum isn't magnetic. Only things like steel and iron (and not all of these - some stainless steel isn't magnetic). Depending on what you're trying to do, it might be possible to use something like epoxy or silicone adhesive to attach them to the window frame and then hang something from them.

A:  The 3/8 in. Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnet Discs (12 per Pack) will not adhere to aluminum as aluminum is not magnetic.

Q:Is the hole beveled or counter-sunk? How do I screw on the magnet and not have the screw head interfere with the magnet face? If not beveled, even a flat-head screw will interfere. Thank you.

A:  The hole is not counter-sunk for Master Magnet 3/8 in. Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnet Discs (12 per Pack). If using with a screw, the screw head will interfere with the magnet surface.

A:  It flat like a regular flat washer. And yes you can put a screw on the middle provided it is smaller in diameter

            Answer This Question

A:  not sure these would melt but it i believe they will permanently loose their magnetism. heat resistant examples can be found for big $$$.

            by|Jan 31, 2022

A:  We would not recommend these magnets for uses at high temperature such as at 500 Fahrenheit. While Neodymium does withstand heat better than most magnets, it will start to demagnetize at about 170 to 180 Fahrenheit.

A:  yes, they can absolutely hold a cabinet shut! i actually used them for that.

A:  This is not a recommended use for this magnet disc. We suggest Part 97964, 4 lb. Round White Adjustable Latch Magnet Pull, or Part 96344, 7 lb. Zinc Pull Latch Magnets (2-Piece per Pack), both are designed specifically for cabinet use.

A:  Yes, they should work just fine on their own. Personally, I would use one magnet and a thin steel square of the same size for better hold, but they will work fine for what you're needing.
