Answer This Question
A: No, I would not suggest that. If you are using a specific venting system that is allowed by code in your area I would use there termination.

Answer This Question
A: This is a very good question. Let me back up for a minute to benefit others that may read this. Modine manufactures heaters but not venting material. This is one of the few venting items they offer. I have always found it to be excessively expensive so I have always used the one that my B-vent provider sells. In answer to your question, No this would not have a B-vent hub on it. It would be single wall like smoke pipe. B-vent is a double walled smoke pipe standard, B-vent from different manufactures will not fit together. It all needs to be the same brand. Lets say your plumbing inspector wants this unit installed with B-vent in your area, you may choose a brand like Hart and Cooley. You would use there system of pipe and fittings. And lets say you decided to use Modines cap, you may have to use a B-Vent back to smoke pipe adapter to attache this cap. This is why I typically use a cap that I source from my B-vent supplier.
