        Q:Will the adhesive adhere to a bare wood surface? Can adhesive caulk be used behind the strip to ensure a improved seal or would it degrade the EPDM cellular rubber?

        A:  Hello, yes this item will adhere to a bare wood surface. The adhesive should adhere good enough that no caulk should be used but if so yes that is fine. Thanks!

                A:  Works ok. Get the right size or or won't stick well. For old doors you must clean very well or it won't stick long.
