A:  I am using a standard analog 4-way switch with dimmer and companion. the 4-way switch is located between the digital switches in the circuit.

A:  The only companion currently available for the MACL-153M is the MA-R, which has a near identical resemblance to the master dimmer but lacks the indicator lights.

A:  No, this is not remote controllable. We do however have a remote control version of that dimmer. You would purchase the ( MRF2S-6CL-color ) and the ( MA-R-color ), with the remote control, model number ( PJ2-3BRL-GWH-L01 ).

A:  The MA-R will fit within a standard US electrical back box. It will also fit within a standard designer/decorator wall plate. Lutron's example is the CW-1.

A:  It fits in a single box as well as a double box. If you put two dimmers in a double box you break off the tabs where the two dimmers touch. I have several locations where I have a dimmer and a decora switch also.

A:  I am not sure what your requirements are but I installed two pairs of Master/Companion switches in two separate locations (hallway and bedroom) and have not had any issues. I hope this helps.
