A: Thank you for your question! The MA-AS is only a companion switch for use in a 3 or 4-way with a Lutron Maestro master switch, such as the MA-S8AM. The MA-AS could not be used in a single pole application or with any third party switches or dimmers

Q:Does this companion switch work with Lutron MA-T51 countdown timer
by|May 2, 2020

Answer This Question
A: The MA-T51 is a single pole only timer. There is no companion for this particular timer. However, the MA-T51MN can be used with multi-location control and the MA-AS is the correct companion for it. The MA-T51MN will require a connection to neutral, so Lutron recommends ensuring a neutral is available prior to installation.
