A:  This dimmer is rated for incandescent or halogen type bulbs only. Lutron also offers a Diva DVCL-153P-WH control that can handle up to 150W of dimmable CFL or LED bulbs, as well as 600W of incandescent or halogen. It may be important to keep in mind though that all dimmable CFL and LED bulbs are being made differently and so the dimming performance will vary greatly from one to the next. It would be worthwhile to check out Lutron’s compatibility list of bulbs that we have tested and found to work well with our controls. This can be found on the dimmer page for the DVCL control.
