Answer This Question
A: Hello! Currently, there's no industry standard or regulation for manufacturing LEDs, which is why performance varies with dimming controls. That's why we extensively test a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers and offer a mobile-friendly web tool to help you select bulbs that provide the best dimming performance with your Lutron dimmers. To access the tool, please visit lutron.com/ledfinder.

Q:Will this work with outdoor low voltage led lights?
by|Jul 11, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Hello Kumar, thank you for your question. This dimmer is rated for electronic low voltage lighting, so if the LEDs you are using are controlled by an ELV (electronic low voltage) transformer, this would match the spec of the dimmer. Of course, due to a lack of standards in the LED manufacturing industry, every LED is made differently and thus is subject to different performance with different dimmers. A full list of Lutron-tested and approved LEDs of all types can be found at lutron.com/LEDtool.
We hope this helps! If you require further assistance. our 24/7 support team is here to help. We can be reached at 1-844-LUTRON or by email at support@lutron.com.

Q:I have a Modern Forms chandelier by WAC lighting and they have several Lutron LED dimmers listed as being compatible including a DIVA DVELV-300P. I cannot find a Lutron Model # anywhere on the HD description. This is the switch that came up when I search for the 300P. When I looked at the linked instructions it does not list a 300P.
Hence the question

A: This is exactly why I bought this switch as it is for my dimmable ELV light! Took me all of 15 minutes to change the old one to this new one.

A: The DVELV-300P is a single pole dimmer that is capable of dimming up to 300w of electronic low voltage loads. Please reach out to our Support Team at support@Lutron.com or by phone at 1 (844) 588-7661 for additional assistance for dimming LED ELV loads.

Q:What is the purpose of the yellow lead wire on this dimmer? I want to use this on three WAC recessed LED spots and they are wired with two conductor (with green ground) wire...the basic Diva dimmer I have installed only goes ~50% dim and then one light or the other will either go dark or flicker.
Will this dimmer fix this?

A: If the transformer on the WAC lights is electronic, I think this will improve dimming performance
by|Mar 31, 2020
A: The DVELV-300P yellow wire will be connected to the switch leg, which is the wire the leads to the fixtures. You can view a wiring diagram here: http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/368-4493_Page_41.pdf. Electronic low voltage dimmers do have the capability to clear up LED incompatibility issues, however Lutron recommends visiting www.lutron.com/ledfinder or www.lutron.com/ledtool to see which LEDs have been verified to work with a particular Lutron dimmer.
