Q:Can this trailer be towed by a larger motorcycle? ie Harley Ultra Classic, Honda Gold Wing..

    Answer This Question

A:  The trailer is 700 lbs. it would be a stretch even for the largest bike I think, especially if you loaded it up with anything. But check the documentation of the bike for its GVWR. I think most touring bikes are in the 400 lb range in terms of what you can add to the wet weight, including people.

A:  Lifetime has not tested pulling this trailer with a motorcycle. It is not recommended.

Q:How much assembly is needed? Is the trailer already assembled when its delivered?

            Answer This Question

A:  The entire trailer comes disassembled, with the exception of the axle, which is ready to bolt on and put the wheels on. That said, we were in no rush to put it together so we spead out the time over a couple days. If I had to guess, my wife and I put the entire trailer together over 20 man hours at a leisurely pace. Almost everything went together using a rubber mallet and a socket set. I did borrow a torque wrench to make sure I did it right, as I have a tendancy to overtighten bolts. It was definately a two person project, but it was a lot of fun for us. Also, the directions covered every question I had, so there was no guess work involved. In case you're wondering, delivery was 2 cartons on a roughly 4x10 pallet weighing almost 900 pounds, so plan on taking up part of your garage or yard to put it together. Let me know if you have any other questions. J

Q:What is the length of the trailer when set up as a utility trailer?

            Answer This Question

A:  The internal length of the trailer bed is 85" with the front and back gates up, and 113" inches with the front and back gates down.

            by|May 2, 2023

A:  The length of the trailer doesn't change when in utility mode vs camping mode. When the sides are up, you have a 5 foot by 8 foot trailer with high sides. That doesn't count the towing tongue, which is roughly an additional 4 feet. Not know a lot about motorcycles, I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information. J

Q:Can the tent assembly be purchased separate from trailer?

              Answer This Question

A:  Lifetime does not sell the tent separately unless you are needing a replacement tent, in which case you would need to provide the VIN number of the trailer.

              by|May 2, 2023

A:  I had this same question when I bought the trailer. At the time it was so new they hadn't worked out pricing yet. If you dial Lifetime directly, they can get the price. But as of last summer, you could get the tent. j

Q:Does the trailer have electric brakes? How much does it weigh?

                Answer This Question

A:  No. The trailer doesn't have brakes, but I've had it loaded almost to the top (slightly less than 120 cubic feet) with moving boxes, and I didn't have a problem pulling or stopping. The shipping manifest said the pallet was 880 pounds, but it was so well packaged I would guess I tossed 40 pounds of packing material away. It's light enough that I can lift the tongue and move it around by hand.

A:  This trailer does not have electric brakes. The trailer itself weighs 700 lbs and the tent weighs 25 lbs.
