It is plastic and while thick, it is hollow. A clamp will crush the pocket

A: Responses I have received from HD are wrong. The specs are WRONG. This table will not hold a TON. Instead of quoting the specs they should investigate and correct them.

A: To unfold this model you just need to pull the leg out of the clip that holds it folded in place. There is no locking device other than the leg clip
