A: Use tubing cutters. any plumber or someone that works with pipe should be able to help you out. tubing cutter will give you a nice square cut. take 2.5 inches off of each piece leaving your splice and support right in the middle looking nice and even. You will need to de-bur the pipe to put splice in. Easy with a pocket knife, brass is soft. forget the saw!

A: If you knew someone that has a band saw or a cut off saw I would take it to them to get a square cut. Wrap iit in masking tape to prevent scratches. The end caps should be removable. Let me know how it goes, thinking of buying one myself.
